Integrating Technology into the Classroom

I believe integrating technology into the classroom is a great thing.  Students these days are bored with old teaching methods such as straight lecturing and school being a one way road.  In this day an age students need to be stimulated while learning.  They are constantly stimulated outside of school through technology like computers, television, and cell phones.   Now is the time to get this technology integrated into the classroom in order to capture the students attention and engage them in learning.  By bringing these new technologies into the classrooms students can find learning more of a fun, hands on experience.

About Me

Hi, my name is Kate.  I recently graduated from SNHU in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.  I worked as a Marketing Assistant for a few months right after I got out of school and realized it was not for me.  I couldn't see myself sitting behind a computer for the rest of my life.

Currently I am a nanny for a 9-month-old baby and I also help my mother watch my 2-year-old niece who I love more than anything.  For a few hours a week I volunteer in a Kindergarten class which is lots of fun!  I am here at SNHU once again to obtain my Master's in Early Childhood Education and I am very excited about this new career path!!
